broccoli and swiss cheese quiche

Ingredients broccoli and swiss cheese quiche


1 lb broccoli
1 medium yellow onion peeled and sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 9-in quiche crust baked and cooled
4 eggs beaten
3/4 cup cream
1 1/4 milk
1/2 lb Swiss cheese grated into coarse pieces
1 salt and pepper to taste

how to make broccoli and swiss cheese quiche


Clean broccoli. Cut into flowerets. Saute onion and broccoli in the butter until tender but not soft.


Place broccoli mix at bottom of cooked and cooled crust. Mix the eggs, cream, milk, salt and pepper. Use the custard mix to fill the quiche shell. Top with Swiss cheese.


Bake at 375°F for 30 to 40 minutes, until a knife inserted in the center can be removed dry. Cool for 10 minutes at least before cutting. Serve warm or at room temperature.
