Ingredients snickerdoodle cookies
1 cup real butter
2 3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp cream of tarter
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
how to make snickerdoodle cookies
Heat oven to 400°.
Mix butter sugar and eggs.
Blend flour cream of tarter baking soda and salt in creamed mixture.
Shape dough into 1" balls.
Roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Place 2" apart on cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Cookies willl puff up when fitst out of the oven but will flatten when cooled.
Makes 6 dozen cookies.
( note) Omit cream of tarter baking soda and salt if using self rising flour.
