sweet corn bread

Ingredients sweet corn bread


1/4 lb butter
1 cup sugar
2 medium eggs
1 cup Corn meal
1 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup Milk

how to make sweet corn bread


Preheat oven to 375°


Cream butter and sugar together.


Add eggs and corn meal


In a separate bowl, stir dry ingredients together (sift if you prefer, but I'm lazy, so I skip that step).


Add 1/3 of the flour mixture to the corn meal mixture and combine.


Add 1/2 cup of milk and combine.


Repeat above steps until all flour and milk has been added.


Pour into greased 7 X 11 inch pan and bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out dry.


Can also be baked in a corn bread pan or muffin tins. It will yield 20 - 24 muffins.
